CLIENT OVERVIEW

Offbeat Coffee is a never boring craft roastery that sets the curious on a coffee-first journey. Born in San Diego, they are at the forefront of 4th Wave roasters in the region.

With the company's "offbeat" spirit as the through line and a love for music humming in the background, QP partnered with Offbeat to build a Brand ID, Messaging, and Packaging system that brings forward that never boring concept in every facet.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

When we first partnered with founders Dan and Krystal they were operating under the name Skyline Coffee. Walking through our brand identity process, we began with identifying four brand attributes for the company — approachable, knowledgeable, experimental, and experiential — that served as filters for a naming exercise that landed on Offbeat Coffee.

Those same attributes extended to every aspect of the brand identity we went on to build. For example, in our package design we made sure to both list tasting notes and the coffee’s origin (“knowledgeable”), in addition to what the coffee might feel like (“experimental” and “experiential”). From these unique packages to cups, merch, and every manifestation of the brand, it’s all just a little offbeat.
