CLIENT OVERVIEW

420 Portraits is a Quality Produce project that came out of a desire to humanize those targeted by the War on Drugs.

In order to help affect permanent change and elevate how the community is perceived by the wider world, we turned towards storytelling as the answer. 420 Portraits tells the stories we need to hear in photo portraits and written narratives.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

For our first portraits we turned to the Bay Area cannabis community that we’d developed through our work, assembling and quickly standing up a creative production team through our network. Through successive iterations we honed our process in order to showcase the participants' stories even more effectively, even pivoting to a remote shooting and interviewing system to continue through COVID.

From its launch as a website, 420 Portraits has expanded to include social media channels, paid media campaigns, and installations in art galleries.
